About the Journal

The ABHIGYAN is an annual, scholarly, peer-reviewed, open-access, online bilingual multidisciplinary journal published by the Publication Cell of Dikhowmukh College. The journal provides a credible and inclusive platform for scholars, researchers, academicians and practitioners to disseminate original research papers, review articles and other scholarly contributions in the fields of Arts, Social Sciences, Humanities and emerging and interdisciplinary areas of research. The journal welcomes scholarly contributions in English and Assamese thereby promoting wider academic participation and facilitating the dissemination of knowledge across diverse linguistic and intellectual communities.
The journal is committed to promoting academic excellence, intellectual inquiry and meaningful scholarly dialogue. It welcomes original and innovative research from diverse subject areas that contributes to the advancement of knowledge and a deeper understanding of society, culture, human thought and contemporary issues.
The inaugural Volume 1, Issue 1 of The ABHIGYAN is scheduled for publication in July 2026, marking the Foundation Day of Dikhowmukh College. Through rigorous research, critical inquiry, and meaningful discourse, the journal seeks to explore and illuminate the underlying ideas, patterns, and perspectives that shape human thought, behaviour, society and the world around us.
The ABHIGYAN aspires to become a vibrant forum for interdisciplinary scholarship and to encourage researchers to engage with emerging ideas, challenge established perspectives and contribute meaningfully to the ever-expanding landscape of knowledge.
